Ottawa-Vanier is known as one of the safest seats in the province, in this case for the Ontario Liberal Party. They have held it for all but 20 of the past 114 years.
Nathalie Des Rosiers of the OLP won the seat in 2018 with 42.86% of the vote.
Lucille Collard won the subsequent by-election in 2020, with 52.22% of the vote, at 19.89% turnout.
