Orléans is a safe Liberal seat. It was last held by a different party (ONPC) from 1999-2003.
Marie-France Lalonde of the Ontario Liberal Party won the riding in 2018, with 39.05% of the vote.
Stephen Blais of the Ontario Liberal Party won the subsequent by-election in 2020 with 55.01% of the vote, at 23.53% turnout.
